What is the cost of a wedding band?

If you have decided on having live entertainment at your wedding reception, one of the most important questions is of course - what is the cost of a wedding band?

Unfortunately there is no single answer to this question! But here are some basic facts:

- Bands charge anything from £600 to £2000+ to perform at a wedding reception. Some bands may also add travel, accommodation and additional equipment hireage costs to this fee.

- At one end of the spectrum, a "pub" band will charge less money but will play loud rock 'n roll music - not always appropriate for a wedding reception.

- Larger function bands (with five or more members) will charge a lot more, typically £1000+, and are more suited to playing big corporate functions.
