As the nights grow colder, we cast our memory back to the heady days of the summer, when the wedding season is in full swing. And nothing warms a musicians’ cockles more than a thank you note received from a wedding reception in the height of August!

At Stubton hall near Newark, Nottingham, Amy and Andrew hired us to perform at their wedding reception. The venue is an impressively restored 19th century country house with a good sized entertainment hall. As a band it’s everything we could wish for – an easy ground floor load in, plenty of room to set up, and very good acoustics.

Moreover, Amy and Andrew and their guests were everything we could have wished for – lots of fun and in the mood for a party, which is great for a band! The night went swimmingly, with lots of songs being requested, most of which we played (we have a very extensive repertoire – see here for more info) , and to cap it all, fabulous authentic Asian food served to us in advance.

The glowing “thank you” card we received from the bride and groom made it clear that they were highly impressed with us too, which is always great to hear. So if you are looking for a professional live band to warm up your wedding reception in 2014, talk to HARD TO HANDLE BAND!
