EVENT ORGANISERS

Event organisers – HARD TO HANDLE band are your first choice for live entertainment! We have experience performing at all manner of events, large and small, and working with events planners and co-ordinators to ensure that the live entertainment component of your function works as a seamless part of the whole evening. We provide the friendly and professional service you demand. We will liase with you in advance to confirm arrival time and load in and set up quickly and discreetly, working with both yourself and sound and lighting companies you may have booked.

In addition, we understand that the staging area you have provided for the event is not exclusively for our use! Unlike some bands we do not need the majority of the stage and will set up within an appropriate area, leaving more than enough space for other entertainers you may have booked and the DJ. And if the event is an awards ceremony or presentation evening, most importantly, there will be ample room for award winners and presentations.

Q: “Will the band play the music I like?”

A: Of course! HARD TO HANDLE are a professional band with a track record of performing at hundreds of functions and play a good mix of hits from the 60s right through to the modern charts. If you have any special songs you would like to hear, let us know!

Q: “How long will the band play for?”

A: HARD TO HANDLE band pride themselves on giving value for money and can play up to two hours of live music! We tend to find that parties work best when the music is split into two sets – your guests will then be treated to the experience of dancing to a live band twice.

Q: “How loud will the band be?”

A: Many modern venues have installed systems that will limit the level of sound a live band can play at. This means that if a band plays over a certain level, the electricity will be cut. The result? No music! The band will start playing again but when the sound exceeds a certain level, the power will be cut again. If the band you book does not have experience working with sound limiters, your evening runs the risk of being ruined. Fortunately, HARD TO HANDLE band frequently perform in venues with sound limiters installed, so you can be assured that your party go without a hitch. And if you’re lucky enough to have a private residence large enough to host a party with a live band, don’t worry – we will play at a level unlikely to annoy your neighbours.

Q: “How much room will the band take up?”

A: You need to be sure that the band you book can actually set up and play in the space available, and won’t encroach on the dance floor. Unlike many bands who use five or six musicians or more, HARD TO HANDLE require a much smaller area to set up, which means more space for you and your friends to party!
